Steam Engine Narrow Gauge Wilanowska

Information and history of the narrow gauge steam engine Wilanowska.

Below the pictures in the table is information about a model that you can build of this narrow gauge steam engine. The model plans also include plans for the cars shown in the pictures.

The rise and development of Konstancin on the southern outskirts of Warsaw, fostered the development of narrow-gauge railway network - first horse, then steam, and finally combustion.

The network of lines spread between Warsaw, Wilanow and Grojec.

It carried passengers and freight. Of note, it carried bricks from the Golkow Brick Factory to Warsaw which bricks were necessary to help solve the then problem of a housing shortage.

This engine is a replica of one of those that ran on the early rail network.

Today you can ride part of the line at Piaseczno.
